Post number 2! Amazed? So am I...

I guess it's been awhile since I've posted. Whoops... but really, nothing has happened since my last (first!) post. The monster is still cute most of the time. But I've really got to get him to stop chewing on my hands, and I don't know how. Any ideas would be welcome...

School is, well, school. I'm trying to write my research proposal, and it is definitely not as easy as I thought it would be. I've lost countless hours of sleep this week working on it. And, since I haven't had any experiments this week, I've banished myself to the other, smelly lab so I can write with, well, minimal at least, distractions. And I would like to think I've gotten a lot done. I guess I have, but it's still not completed, so I feel like I haven't done anything. But I promised the boss I would have a copy for him Monday. Then, I can give it to my committee members, set a date to present it to my committee members, and hopefully get it passed, before Christmas. Wow, I think my stress level just went up a million points (or, because I'm a nerdy scientist, 1x10^6).

Anyway, I'm off to look watch tv, and actually get some sleep tonight, because the rest of the weekend will be spent writing and prepping for experiments next week. Good thing I love doing what I do!

ps- I guess I should say 'go frogs!' They are number 4 in the BCS ranking, and tomorrow's game will have ESPN's college game day broadcasting. So, go frogs!

Really?

Wow, I just created a blog. Not that I'll ever update it, so don't get your hopes up. I really just needed a place to talk about my new kitten without annoying those who are forced to be around me everyday. But seriously, I have the cutest kitten. Unless he's acting like he is now. My sister came over this evening to wrap my mothers birthday present (her birthday is tomorrow, on Halloween!) and I just looked over at her gifts (a Wii... I wish I was so lucky to own one...) and one of them is totally not even wrapped anymore, thanks to the monster who decided to knock it over and basically unwrap it. Thank you, London. Usually, he is a good kitten: using the litter box, not scratching me so much, and being more like a cuddly puppy (we even play fetch!) than an annoying little kitten. Today, he is just expressing his freedom. Which is what I keep telling myself. haha, I love him anyway!

So, if you like the blog, I guess leave me comments. Otherwise, I will probably only post when I need to vent or tell annoying stories about the kitten. Nothing good, mind you. So, keep in touch!

ps - I'm amyg to everyone in my recent school because the post doc in my lab is also named Amy (how weird is that?!?!) so I've gotten pretty used to people calling me amyg, so if you feel the need, you can call me that and I'll still answer, probably at a higher frequency than if you call me amy. did that sound nerdy, because I try to hide that part of me as much as possible...
