How do I move... CROSS COUNTRY?!?!

So, I have a problem....

I am officially moving. To Bozeman. In Montana. But where, exactly? No idea...

My mom is having a BLAST trying to figure out a place for me to live. Hey, if she wants to hassle with it, I will not complain. It helps me out SOOO much! I don't really want to deal with it. And honestly, I think if she knows all the background and everything of where I am living, it will make her feel better about me moving so far away. I am still in shock about it. I've never lived more than three hours away from home. But I am so, so, SO excited!

But the real question is, how do I do it? How do I move my TONS (or it feels like I have tons) of furniture 1500 miles? On a poor graduate students salary? I have a feeling that I will again be asking for mom's help in this matter. This time, maybe a more financial one. We'll see...

Today I didn't have to work, so I went through my bathroom and closet shelves to throw away anything I didn't need. Or take it home, in the case of some shoes. I just can't bring myself to throw those away, especially if my mom can find a way to donate them. So now, in my tiny apartment, I have a 'trash' pile, and a 'take home' pile. And it's taking up too much space! But I guess it's needed.

Anyway. Any suggestions on how to move will be welcome. And how to pack for it. And how to just READY myself for it... Eeek!!!

And now, off to actually clean instead of pack. Some of my best friends are coming in this weekend, and I want everything to be clean, clean, clean!

Give me comments about moving! They will be greatly appreciated!

You may now call me MASTER AMY!

I did it! I survived! I EARNED MY MASTERS DEGREE!!!!!!!!

And I might still be a little excited...

Strike that, EXTREMELY excited! I still can't believe it! And if you asked me how that day went exactly, I'm not sure I could tell you. I think I blocked it from my memory. All I know is that I was extremely nervous, my committee asked me really hard questions, I said 'I don't know' a few times, but still must have impressed them enough to pass me. Whew! So glad that's over!

All I have to do now is turn in everything, and get about a gajillion signatures. Quite tiresome and annoying. Then on Tuesday, I officially 'start' as a technician in lab. Basically, that means, be a slave to everyone else in lab, and do all the work they don't want to do. And I have to submit a paper. But write it first. And do a few experiments before that. But whatever. It's only for 6 weeks. Then in June, I'm going to Spain with my mother and sister, then I'm spending July getting ready to leave for Montana. Such as visiting friends, packing, cleaning, etc. Yay! I'm excited for that next step in my life!

So, currently, I'm in Texarkana, hanging with my parents this weekend. I wanted to soak up some sun and get some vitamin D, but apparently the weather has decided against that. Maybe tomorrow...

Anyway, off to do some shopping with my momma! yay!
